‘These ministries make more sense than ever in this time of moral confusion, out-of-control inflation and above-inflation health care rate-hikes,’ says Katy Talento

WASHINGTON — In the recent presidential debate, the prospect of more immoral insurance mandates loomed ominously. former President Donald Trump made it clear that he has now fully embraced taxpayer-subsidized procedures and has significantly softened his previously strong pro-life stance on abortion.

President Trump, since IVF became a friction point in politics after Alabama’s Supreme Court ruled that embryos were considered people, reiterated his support for expanding federal support for the procedure. Further, he said he still favors certain limits based on gestation, such as banning late-term abortions, but that the issue should be left to the states. He was also critical of Florida’s “heartbeat” law, which preserves the life of unborn children if a heartbeat is detected, which is usually at six weeks. Simultaneously, he reminded viewers that he appointed three Supreme Court justices who helped overturn Roe v. Wade in 2022.

For her part, Democratic nominee Kamala Harris has embraced the entire radical abortion agenda of Big Fertility, Planned Parenthood and the rest of the abortion industry.

“With a watered-down Republican platform and the Democrats and their presidential ticket fully backing the pro-abortion agenda in every way, pro-life Christians are left with no major party defending the right to life and religious conscience and morality in health care,” says Katy Talento, executive director of the Alliance of Health Care Sharing Ministries (The Alliance, ahcsm.org).

“But when it comes to their own health care choices, Christians do have a 100 percent moral solution: Health Care Sharing Ministries (HCSMs). Members of HCSMs will never be forced to pay for abortions, IVF procedures or chemical or surgical genital mutilations posing as ‘gender transitions.’

These ministries make more sense than ever for Christians in this time of moral confusion, out-of-control inflation and above-inflation health care rate-hikes. Members can save money, stay out of debt, avoid red tape, and have more medical options,” Talento says.

“People need to sift through the noise and vote according to their conscience. Not voting in such a crucial election is not an option. The best thing to do is to vote for a candidate or party that is closest to biblical values. Elections are always that way, since no candidate is perfect, and Jesus is not on the ballot. In the meantime, Christian families can make their voices heard by exiting the broken and immoral insurance market altogether by joining a Health Care Sharing Ministry.”

Founded in 2007 and headquartered in Washington, D.C., the Alliance of Health Care Sharing Ministries is a 501(c)(6) trade organization representing the common interests of Health Care Sharing Ministries which are facilitating the sharing of health care needs (financial, emotional, and spiritual) by individuals and families, and their participants. The Alliance engages with federal and state regulators, members of the media, and the Christian community to provide accurate and timely information on health care sharing.
